Ok, update time. The small person now in charge of our lives had us a little worried over the last 24 hours. She hasn't pooped in two days and the dr. wasn't real happy about that. So, we've been add bottles of pumped breast milk and formula with Sarah and Dan feeding her every two hours all last night.
They took her for another blood draw for bilirubin numbers this morning and that is good news. DOWN!! from 17 to 14. Then off to Raley's Dr. and she was surprised. She expected a sick baby but.... no, just a sleepy baby who doesn't like to work the breast, will take a bottle fine and just hasn't pooped!! So, she's home and for the NEXT TWO WEEKS she needs to be fed every TWO HOURS. Sleep, what sleep??? We don't need no sleep around here!!!! SSIGGHHHH!.
This is from Sat. morning. We walked down to an open house at the end of the street. Here, she is in the sling.
Here's Mom and dad and a sling full of baby on a pretty sunny day.
And Mom has a tail! LOL
Sitting in the sun with Dady. It seems to have worked. About two and a half hours in the sun yesteday and the numbers are down by three!

I am a little surprised that you are surprised about not getting sleep... isn't that what newborns are known for? And since she's taking a bottle couldn't the three of you set up a rotation... it seems a little unnecessary for three grown-ups to all get up every time. But what does the childless one know?
ReplyDeleteYEAH! At least the numbers are down. Hopefully, they will continue to go down!!
ReplyDeleteI KNEW that I had an motive for not coming our yet :-)
But I like the pictures! And I do wish I could be there to play with her...not so sure about all the getting up but....
