ten minutes before the 6:30 start time
someone is heating the bottles, there are two.
At 6:30 Sarah puts Raley to her breast. And occasional it works and at other times she screams and we all have no idea what is wrong.
After we try to get her to nurse at the breast, we feed her the bottle of breast milk that Sarah pumped the previous cycle. Usually 1/2 to 1 oz. She seems to get most of that down.
Next is the formula bottle. Hopeing we get at least 1 oz down of that we wish it was 2!!
There is crying, and people with no idea of why.
Then once we get through all the bottles and breast, about 30 minutes and then Sarah is pumping. Since she has to be at every one of them, she is the one getting really tired.
we can't take turns with her part!!
Dan's doing nights with her and I get days. And this will go on for the next TWO weeks! Every TWO hours. going to get to be a narrow tight little world around here. Feeding baby will be about all we do.

Seems VERY easy to get frustrated by that very taxing schedule. But remember that the end result is worth it. Hugs to all of you.
ReplyDeleteWe love you! I hope that the three hour breaks are helping... the word verification for my commenting is hugumom... think that's just a coincidence?? I don't!
