Sat. update

Ok, this is the latest in photos and news. Bilirubin numbers are still up so it's time in the sunshine today for our favorite little lady. She's had about an hour and already looks less orange. We had breakfast at 11:00 this morning. We have come to the conculsion that she is suffering a bit from nipple confusion, not becuase of getting anything like a bottle but because she sucked on her hands so much in Utero and she wants it all to be that easy. So right now, we are putting her to the breast, letting her try, then pumping milk, and putting her back to the breast where she gets some of the pumped milk dribbled in by eye dropper. It ain't quick or easy but at least we know she is now getting milk and........

Here is what you get when you finally get enough milk into a little one for her to feel content. Eyes open and looking around for almost 30 minutes! 8:00 to 8:30 last night.

then Mom and Dad decided that it was time to play Wii. Yes, with baby at breast Momma was being a robot in Star wars!! Sigh, the life this child shall lead.

And as a final note, For all those who are demanding pictures on a daily basis. Sarah and I would like to ask if you would also like to share in the night time feedings?? We'd just give you a call when ever we got up with the little lady, like last night at midnight, 2:30 to 3:30, then again at 5. Perhaps the worst is the fact that they have to be at the hospital by 7:30 for the blood test, going again tomorrow, and that is right in the middle of her long sleeping cycle!! If they were not doing that, we'd get from about 5 to 8:30 or 9!!
