today's excitment. (not baby)

and it had nothing to do with the baby and very little to do with the dogs. when I took the dogs out right before their supper at 5, I looked to the side of the house and this is what I saw.
Yes, that is a snake in the snow. A very dumb snake in the snow. the sun was warm enough that he had come out to sun but then got too cold to get back in. I had to really work Winston with my "Grandma is going to get you" voice to keep him from going after it.
I came in and told Reid that he needed to go out and do something with it to keep the dogs from going after it.
i did not expect him to do this.

Yes, that is a snake on the floor of the kitchen under the heater so he could "warm up".
When Reid went out to see it, the body was stiff but it was moving it's head around and he wanted to see if it would revive. It did!
He took it back out and put it back under the house.
So next spring they will have a whole nest of dumb snakes! LOL

Reid, did you check out what kind of snake it was? Colorado Mts are known for rattlers. Does your shop have heat? Grandma, snakes are too dumb to stay under the house.
