Day WHAT of this journey??

Today we went to the lactation specialist twice! Sarah and Raley had a 9:30 appointment but since Her Highness had had 3.25 oz. of breakfast at 7:00 a.m., she was not interested in either waking up or being hungry. So we came home and let her only have the little bit of pumped breast milk so that she was hungry when we went back at 2:30. And we achieved some success. If we let her start on the bottle and then pull a switcharoo, Sarah can pop her onto the breast, IF she is using a breast shield. Seems Raley likes the feel of the shield and will nurse!!

As you can see, Sarah reached a tipping point last night and fell asleep on the sofa with Raley. Even Grandma gave in and I was in bed by nine last night. Not sure about Dad.

Well, it's been a momentous day.
you know that old proverb, "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it"???
Well, we wanted a poopy diaper and she finally gave us our wish. THREE times. And not just little bits either. Full nasty diapers! and Grandma got the last one all to her self!


Here we can see how the father deals with fatherhood in the modern age.









Look at me holding up my head!!! Way better then she should for one week.



However, we can also eat in our sleep. Or at least use the nippel as a great pacifier.








Daddy is ready to start the bath!

Pictures, Monday, set two

There seems to be a belief on the part of the fur children that if they lay on the changing pad, they will get the same attention as the hu-child!
Let me think about that a moment.

On we go with Pitures!

This would be a comfortable, sleepy, I don't want to wake up and eat baby.

Picture two shows how we were entertaining ourselves when there was little room for other fun. If you put your little finger between your big and second toe, you can have Monkey toes when you are born!!
Time for the morning sun bath. We may do that yet one more time today even though the bilirubin numers are down. Doesn't hurt any of us to get a little more vitamin D.
BABY POWER!! Relaxed, asleep and she sure doen't look like she's got a problem, does she??
